When finding a new word that obviously you do not know. search for the family word of it and other terms related to this that you'll not only get the meaning, but shall now some other words at the time.
Also, try to match as many word as possible with your day-to-day life lest forget and mistake so much when you speak. For example: you just now,
sort
sort is the same as type, kind, class...you think
what sort of movie do you like?
~ out: Hey, everybody!! -Today's Monday!- Let's sort out from this. The principal is arriving!!
Americans are a class of polite and confident people...
this room is kind of a mess= (not having the right word)
i'll have some sort of rich dessert, too- what do you ever have?
you see now... there are many situations in life where you can use this words rightly.
here's my advice learners. get prepared with your speech before you talk or present it. As for family words, i just touched on; the more you search a word, the more will know.
